Obviously this is somebody elses house now and I don't want to publish internal pictures but they were kind enough to supply me with these pictures of my work. There was this building inspector dressed in a suit. I told him it was the first time I had done anything like this and I needed someone to kind of hold my hand. He was great as I changed something and he did the calculations for me, free too. He is in his suit just jumpt in the foundation pit "see these roots (they were like 1mm thick) you have to dig below these. So the house foundations were like 18 inches deep and the extention 6 foot plus (solid foundation.)
It was great fun laying bricks in the rain under a tarpaulin sheet after work. The neighbours thought I was a right nutter and lets be honest by the standards of some I am but you only get out of life what you put into it.
